Areas of Interest

I consider myself a liberal arts economist. As such, my intellectual interests are eclectic. I use my academic training to conduct research on a variety of topics in interdisciplinary teams. I also use this same training in my administrative functions to improve program effectiveness for social enterprises and not-for-profit organizations.

I mostly teach macroeconomics, courses that have a global lens, and social entrepreneurship at 91°µÍø. My academic papers cover topics in environmental economics, times series analysis, agriculture, health and economic development. I also have unpublished work in the subject areas of the economics of antimicrobial resistance, One Health, Islamic finance, human trafficking, international trade, and pedagogy.
